Scholarship Recipient: Jolie Stocke

Jolie Jean Stocke is the daughter of Paula Stocke and Paula Larson of Virginia. While at Rock Ridge High School, she served as Class President, Treasurer of the WEB Leadership program, she was on the Prom Committee, and she was involved in Peer Tutoring for 2 years. Musically, Jolie was involved in Band, Pep Band, Choir, the VHS Musical and was the Band Stage manager. While in High School, she was involved in many sports, including Soccer, Cross Country, Track and Field, and Basketball. She also worked at the Natural Harvest Food Co-op.

During her senior year, Jolie maintained a 4.0 GPA while having a vigorous course load, was named Senior Class President, National Honor Society President, WEB Treasurer, Triple A Female nominee, and Captain of her soccer team. Jolie plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and further plans an M.D or Ph.D in Cancer Biology. She wants to work in a cancer lab, inspired by her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis and her determination to find a cure. Congratulations and best of luck, Jolie!
