Congratulation Scholarship Recipients! This week: Olivia Bontems

With fall semester in full swing, we would like to recognize the hardworking students who received scholarships from our Lodge! Our scholarship program began in 1992. Since then, 76 students from Eveleth have been awarded $36,000.00 in total to date. These scholarships are made possible from the money we raise each year from the concession stand. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time to work the stand!

Each week we will feature one of our seven 2016 scholarship winners. This week we would like to recognize Olivia Bontems!

Olivia Bontems is the daughter of Daryl Bontems and Gina Crowder. While at Eveleth High School she was Class President as well as a member of the National Honor Society, Knowledge Bowl, the Volunteers in Education, and President of the Student Council. She was captain of the basketball team and played volleyball and softball. Olivia is ranked number one in her class. Olivia will attend the College of St. Scholastica to pursue a degree in biology. This will be beneficial in a health related field and in her desire to help people. Congratulations Olivia!
